About Katya

Classical Realist Painter

Katya Dennison is a traditional oil painter and draftswoman based in Queens, New York. Her work focuses on classical realism, combining careful observation with an interest in atmosphere, light, and the emotional presence of a subject.

Katya earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in coordination with the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2023, graduating summa cum laude. Alongside her studio training, she pursued studies in Classical Studies, Art History, and Cinema Studies, shaping the thoughtful and historically informed approach visible throughout her work. She currently continues her education at Grand Central Atelier and is also a scholarship member of the Salmagundi Club in New York City.

Her paintings and drawings have appeared in exhibitions throughout New York and beyond, including Sotheby’s New York through the Art Renewal Center Salon Exhibition.
