About Bianca
Collage Artist
Bianca Dunn is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York, working across collage, painting, science illustration, and immersive installation. Drawing from her Mexican and Chinese heritage, science background, and personal identity, her work explores themes of fluidity, ambiguity, and connection through bold shapes, color, and symbolic composition.
Originally from Sacramento, California, Bianca studied microbiology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and later conducted scientific research at institutions including NYU Langone. Alongside her scientific career, she pursued continuing art education through the School of Visual Arts, Drawing America, and Penn Studio School of Art, later completing artist residencies at SVA in Painting & Mixed Media and Contemporary Practices.
Her work has been exhibited in spaces such as Photoville and Flatiron Project Space, while her collage illustrations have appeared in publications including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. In addition to her studio practice, Bianca hosts collage workshops designed to make artmaking accessible, experimental, and community-driven.
