About Course
Class dates: September 14, 21, & 28 | 6:30-9:30pm
Learn to shade and render complex forms on the human figure in graphite, working with one model and the same pose for three sessions. Gaby will guide you from capturing accurate gesture and proportion, to understanding light physics and gradients to render realistic volumes. This class is suited for intermediate and advanced artists. Demos and individual critiques daily.
Materials List:
- Strathmore 400 series Drawing Paper
- smallest 9”x12” or largest 18”x24” 4H, 2H, H, HB pencils (Staedler brand recommended)
- Kneaded eraser
- Tombow mono zero eraser, round tip (highly recommended)
Important Information
The doors to our events open 15 minutes before each session. If you arrive before then, there is no room to wait inside the building, so please plan accordingly. The doorman will direct you to the classroom.
This event occurs on the third floor of a building without an elevator. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the monitor.
There is no photography when the model is posing.
We kindly ask that ticket rescheduling be requested at least 48 hours before class. Space is limited, and we hold spots for all ticket holders.
