About Your Instructor

Justin Donaldson

Justin and his family travel full time across the American West — chasing light through national parks, painting the world as it unfolds in front of them. His method is built on presence: committing to a moment before it disappears.

He brings the same directness to teaching. Students consistently describe his classes as the moment something finally clicked — a practical, experience-tested approach rooted in color, pigment, and light, drawing on the masters (Zorn, Sargent) while staying firmly grounded in what's directly in front of him.
