About Pascal
Master Storytelling & Illustration
Born in River Edge, New Jersey, Pascal began drawing at age seven, inspired by his older brother. After moving to the south of France, he spent his childhood sketching comics and landscapes before studying narrative illustration at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs de Strasbourg, graduating in 2000. He soon transitioned into digital art, marking the start of his professional career.
Pascal worked in Honolulu and Portland before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2005, where he created characters and games for LeapFrog. In 2007, he married and later became a father of three, with family becoming a central inspiration in his work. He also launched his “Sketch of the Day” project, building a large and dedicated online following.
From 2007 to 2014, Pascal worked as a freelancer across film, television, and commercial projects, contributing to visual development for films such as Klaus, Moana, and Penguins of Madagascar. After moving to Los Angeles in 2014, he worked on Netflix’s Green Eggs and Ham and had his art featured on covers of The New Yorker.
Today, Pascal is a Production Designer at WildBrain Studios, working on Peanuts specials for Apple TV+. He has illustrated books including “Paper Kingdom” (2020) and “Rosa’s Song” (2022), and released his sketchbook “The Art of Pascal Campion” in 2023.
