Starting a painting is simple enough; finishing one is the hard part. In this class you start with a precise line drawing, transfer it to a toned canvas, then finish part by part, top to bottom, in the process the 19th-century masters called “window shading.” Some life drawing experience is recommended. No prior painting required.
